Continue reading about Dr. Dan the Music Man! :-)

Nationally certified as an organist at the Associate level of the American Guild of Organists, Steinert also serves as the newly elected Co-Dean of the AGO’s Durham-Chapel Hill chapter. The chapter’s enticing “Pedals, Pipes & Pizza” is open to all pianists, beginners to high school seniors, on Sat., Feb. 7 @ 10:00 AM at University Presbyterian Church, 209 E. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill. Since 2024 Dr. Steinert has collaborated with international flutist Nicolas Duchamp, performing three recitals together and playing for his heralded “Flute Intensives.” As part of Christ Church’s “Benevolence Concert” series the duo raised over $3,000 for Habitat for Humanity. Since their inception in 2010, these concerts’ generous patrons have donated over $50,000 to local and international non-profits in lieu of paying admission.

In 2023 Steinert produced a CD album (his eighth) of Christ Church’s music ministry ensembles and released his first original piano composition, “Muse,” which is available on Apple Music, Spotify, etc under “Dr. Daniel Steinert.” Equally comfortable with jazz standards, show tunes, or seasonal favorites, Dr. Steinert enjoys playing for “happy hours,” “sing-alongs” and “dinner parties” throughout the Triangle but none of his mountaintop experiences thrill him more than sharing the joy of music-making with children!
