Unanticipated Cancellation of a Teacher Work Day Camp Due To Circumstances Beyond Our Control
We absolutely do not want to cancel a teacher work day camp. We can opt to “stay open” in some situations b/c parents are driving their children to and from our camp. That said, sometimes there are conditions beyond our control that make conducting a camp impossible. Let’s all hope for safe driving conditions, acceptable weather and predictable District choices regarding days off.
1.) The camp date is converted back into a regular school day by the District and is no longer a teacher work day.
2.) Inclement weather creates hazardous, unsafe driving conditions and renders the facility’s parking lot unsafe/dangerous.
3.) Facility closure due to power loss, water shut off and/or storm damage that renders the facility unsafe/unusable.
No refunds or credits will be granted for cancellation of a teacher work day camp due to these unanticipated reasons which are beyond our control.
On dates turned back into regular school days - campers will be sent the video for the missed art lesson pertaining to the affected camp date and offered a second video to enjoy, as well.
On inclement weather days, in the event the camp must be cancelled for safety purposes but power and internet are still functioning - a live zoom step-by-step drawing lesson will be offered in lieu of the camp on the same date of the missed camp from 10:00-11:00am. Additionally, a second art lesson video will be given to affected campers, if desired, to enjoy at the time of their own choosing.
If power and internet are not available - campers will be sent the video for the missed art lesson pertaining to the affected camp date and offered a second video to enjoy, as well.
